Stakeholders Forum (hybrid meeting): Co-Creating the Agile Pharmacy Curriculum

Pharmacy practice is expanding rapidly, with pharmacists taking on broader clinical, communication, public health responsibilities, and other professional roles across Europe. As the profession evolves, pharmacy curricula must adapt to ensure graduates are equipped with the competencies needed in increasingly complex healthcare environments. This Stakeholders Forum brings together key organisations shaping education, practice, and regulation to explore how an agile, forward-looking curriculum can be co-designed to meet these widening expectations.

The session opens with seven lightning talks (about 5 minutes), each offering a distinct stakeholder viewpoint on emerging competency needs in pharmacy:

•     FIP Academic Section – Dr. A. Mestrovic
•     FIP Institutional Membership – Prof. L. Azzopardi
•     EPSA – Ms. P. Palomares
•     PGEU – Mrs. L. Rootslane
•     Estonian State Agency of Medicines – Mrs. A. Viispert
•     EIPG – Mr. Piero Iamartino
•     EHPA – Mrs. Marika Saar

A Q&A discussion will follow, enabling participants to engage with the presenters, highlight gaps, and raise questions about shaping a curriculum that keeps pace with a broadening professional scope.
The Forum concludes with a collective reflection, summarising shared priorities and identifying opportunities for collaboration as we co create a pharmacy curriculum that is truly agile, comprehensive, and aligned with the expanding role of pharmacists across Europe.
